Four bands use the name "The Astronauts": 1) Surf band from Colorado in the early 1960's. Their appeal was primarily regional, but their 1963 single "Baja" drew national attention and reached #94 on the Billboard pop charts.

2) A nostalgic surf rock band from Bielefeld, Germany. Their style is instrumental space-surf rock n' roll. The liner notes from their 10" EP "Lost in Space", released in 1993 by Pin Up Records, shed some light on their retro aesthetic: "Do you play your Pin Up Monaural long-play recordings on a Mono phonograph? The Disrupters were a anarcho-punk band formed in late 1980. The band became involved with influential band and recording label, Crass, and released an early version of their song titled 'Napalm' on 'Bullshit Detector'. The band began recording in 1981 at Whitehouse Studios. The Disrupters later disbanded in 1988 after becoming unhappy with the "scene". Line Up:

1) The Mob were an anarcho-punk band originally from Yeovil, Somerset, England during the late 1970s and early 1980s. The band broke up in December 1983. Marc Mob was the bands center of attention with colourful (red) dreadlocks and an angelic face.

The Ex is an anarchist band from the netherlands. They formed in 1979 at the height of the original punk explosion and have released nearly twenty full length albums since, making them one of the longest-lived and most influential punk bands (along with The Fall) still in existence. They are known and respected worldwide for their longevity, their explosive, energetic live shows and their political edge.
