Zounds

Zounds were a UK anarchist band formed in 1977 from loose jamming sessions around the Reading area. Originally they were part of the cassette culture movement, releasing material on the Fuck Off Records tape label, and were also involved in the squatting and free festival scene. The band met up with fellow anarchists Crass when, legend has it, their van broke down on the road. They made their way to nearby Dial House, where Crass were based, who helped them with repairs. The two bands became friends, and although musically very divergent, they shared many common political views.

Antidote

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) A hardcore band from New York. Antidote’s Thou Shalt Not Kill EP was self-released in 1983. The drummer, Arthur, had played with the Misfits, and John Bloodclot does back-ups on “The Real Deal”. Antidote got back together in the late 80’s/early 90’s and put out a full-length record. 2 ) Street punk band from Holland. Formed in 1995 and still together as of 2008.

Terminus

There are multiple artists called Terminus: 1) Early project of Pamela Passmore and Ure Thrall, both of whom were later involved in Asianova along with Jim Wilson and Bonnie McNairn from Voice of Eye. 2) Terminus were an anarcho-punk band from Scunthorpe, UK, who gigged and recorded in the 1980's and 1990's. They recorded several singles and two albums on the Words Of Warning and Campary labels. A compilation album, "Graveyard of Dreams" was released on the Boss Tuneage label.

The Cravats

The Cravats were thrown together in 1977, the day after The Shend & Robin Dallaway had seen The Stranglers in Birmingham. Once back home in Redditch, tooled up with only a pair of bongo's and acoustic guitar, the boys got drunk and started work on The Cravats. After recruiting Martin Seys to play guitar, and Ethos Yapp to oblige on the drums the band took their set of songs into the studio to record a demo tape.

Beyond Pink

Beyond Pink is a hardcore-punk band from Malmö, Sweden. The band started in 2002. This is definitely something for all those into fast hardcore, as well as riot grrrls sounds and tradition of the 80's swedish hc/punk. Their lyrics are alongside with the music, they reflect anger and critical views on issues like macho/sexistculture, violent dancing, cops, pro-life fundemantalists or corporate capitalism and their financial institutions like WTO and G8.

Blyth Power

Blyth Power is a British rock band formed in 1983 by singer/drummer Joseph Porter, formerly of Zounds and The Mob. Blyth Power's music shows strong influences from punk rock and folk music, and the band members have described their sound as a cross between The Clash, Steeleye Span and The Rubettes. Established in 1983 and named after a railway locomotive, the one constant in an ever-shifting lineup has been drummer/vocalist/songwriter Joseph Porter (real name Gary James Hatcher, born 21 February 1962 in Templecombe, Somerset).
