Glenn Lewis

Glenn Lewis (born Glen Ricketts on March 13, 1975 in Toronto, Canada) is a soul singer and songwriter. Originally planning to pursue a career in animation as a teenager, Lewis instead decided to focus on music. His father was a member of the musical group Crack of Dawn. Lewis has cited Stevie Wonder as his biggest inspiration, and Glenn has often been compared to him because of their similarities in their tones. Glenn singing first garnered attention when he won a high-school talent contest by covering Wonder's "I Just Called to Say I Love You".

Not to be confused with the Czech porn star, Lucy Love is a rave MC turned electro star in the making from Copenhagen. An apparent lyrical genius, Lucy Love crosses many boundaries with her debut album, Superbillion which dropped February 23, 2009. Found here is a good mesh of grime, electro, reggae, dub and rap. Black Slate

Black Slate formed in 1974 in London, with members hailing from multiple countries. Keyboardist George Brightly and bassist Elroy Bailey were originally from London. Vocalist Keith Drummond, guitarist Chris Hanson, and drummer Desmond Mahoney came from Jamaica, and rhythm guitarist Cledwyn Rogers hailed from Anguilla. The group received their earliest work backing touring Jamaican acts, such as Delroy Wilson. In 1976, they hit the U.K.

Finley Quaye

When Finley Quaye (born on 25 March 1974, in Leith, Edinburgh) won the 1998 Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist, he had been famous for less than a year. In 1997, he emerged from seemingly nowhere with a sunny mix of Reggae, Soul and jazzy Funk and claimed the hip Dance Pop throne previously occupied by the likes of Jamiroquai. Son of Jazz composer Cab Quaye, the brother of noted guitarist Caleb and allegedly the half-uncle of Trip Hop artist Tricky, Quaye made his recording debut in 1995 on A Guy Called Gerald's "Finley's Rainbow".

Marcia Griffiths

Marcia Griffiths, ⋆ 23 Nov 1949 in Kingston, Jamaica, is, thus far, the most successful female reggae artist in the world with songs like "Young, Gifted And Black" (1970), "Feel Like Jumping" (1978) and "Steppin' Out Of Babylon" (1979), and "Electric Boogie (1990) . She cooperated with Bob Marley on all his LP albums for Island Records and in all tours until his death. Marcia Griffiths has sung professionally for over 40 years, and had an early career with Bob Andy in the duo Bob and Marcia, who delivered hit songs like "Young, Gifted And Black" (1970) and "The Pied Piper" (1971).
