Several bands go by The Moon: 1) An American band formed 1967-- Moon's first album is one of those undiscovered late-'60s psychedelic pop masterpieces which command a high price from LP collectors (like their second album, this one has not been made available on compact disc). Moon Without Earth was produced by keyboard player/guitarist/vocalist Matthew Moore and drummer Larry Brown (ex-Sidewalk Productions sideman) at Continental Recorders — formerly on Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, CA — where the band reportedly lived for a time.
Airtist is a unique music project that creates the atmosphere of electronic dance music with ancient instruments and human voice. The Didgeridoo, the Jew's harp and the human beatbox together create an unmatchable soundworld that is so typical to Airtist. The band don't use any electronically produced sound. Only the natural vibration of their instruments is what makes people dance. This music could have been played thousands of years ago the same way.
There are two bands using name "Dred", described bellow: 1)
The band had its early beginnings in Sydney, Australia 2001, when two school friends Denis Vlachiotis (Lead/Rhythm Guitar) and Michael Conti (Bass/Vocals) collaborated to write and assemble material for what would soon become Dred. With Michael Conti initially performing both bass and vocal duties, the band's music began to take shape. Combining attributes of thrash and death metal, they were to spend the next two years developing the band's direction, rehearsing, writing and refining their original material.
György Kurtág was born on 19th February 1926 at Lugoj in Romania, not far from the birthplace of fellow hungarian György Ligeti. Both young composers hoped to study with Béla Bartók in Budapest in 1945, but Bartók died in America and Kurtág went on to study piano, composition and chamber music with other teachers at the Budapest Academy. Among his early works was a Korean Cantata which expressed solidarity with the North Koreans in the Korean War against the US, but he reached the age of thirty-three before he was willing to give any of his works opus numbers.
