Mechanical Owl is the solo project of Mike Payne. His tunes come down somewhere between melancholic indie and varied electronica, with lyrics that paint a picture in a Belle & Sebastian sort of way. The recent Snowdonia EP shows a musician that's influenced by every band he hears, as well as the sights and sounds that surround him with six memorable tunes. These, and other songs and ideas are now played by Mike and four other musicians (Ian Davies, Matt Stenning, David Parr and Greg Michell.) They will soon be recording together and are currently playing small shows around the UK.
ACID DROP is what would happen if you get US east coast punk and west coast fatwreck punk and mix them both in a blender, sing songs about sk8ing, drinking and things that peave us off. Blasting through from 100mph breakneck speed to the odd foot tapping slow tune.
ACID DROP contains ex members of THE BLUE CASKET, THE DEAD PETS and THE MIGHTY BOOZE. FAST, FAST, FASTER.

With a Coward-esque warble and a precise and deliberate manner Benjamin Wetherill cuts an unusual figure amongst his song-writing contemporaries, performing a romantic blend of darkened, spidery arch-folk and pre-war-swoon material. From folk crowds to indie and experimental audiences, over the past four years Benjamin has wooed listeners and made an ineffable impression on theUK underground music scene through a constant performance schedule and numerous, independently released recordings.

Whole Sky Monitor fuse Ian Hunter vocals with the essence of The Psychedelic Furs/US college rock. In short, indie art-rock combining verbal vehemence & intense instrumentation on a roller coaster of revolt.
Candid Squash are an alternative rock band from Leeds. They've been alive since 2006 and have absolutley no money.
The Butterfly’s only influences are; Volcanoes, ABBA, Joy Division, the stock-market, Hits from the 60s and 70s, Mr Leo Tolstoy, Carravaggio, Tool, Prince, Mr Oscar Wilde, Michael Jackson, Michael Patton, and the Beano 1989-1994. Having foraged in this fertile cultural undergrowth, the Butterfly pick the juiciest morsels and produce exciting, accessible mini rock-operas. At a performance of the Butterfly, the listener will be thrilled, serenaded and terrified in equal measures before they have to drag themselves back into reality.
