Anggun

Anggun (born Anggun Cipta Sasmi on April 29, 1974 in Jakarta, Indonesia) is an Indonesian singer/songwriter. She started singing in 1986. Her father, Darto Singo, was a famous singer and producer in Indonesia and Anggun decided to follow in her father's footsteps. At the tender age of 7 years she recorded her first album with children's song. At 12, after becoming interested in rock music, she recorded her second heavily rock influenced album, "Dunia Aku Punya", that in the indonesian language mean "World of mine".

A S American-British band based out of Edinburgh. The singer, Valentina Montoya Martinez, is the daughter of a Chilean exile and the percussionist, Gerardo Ballesteros is from Argentina. The two other members - guitarist David Russell and double bass player May Halyburton are both from Scotland. The band specialises in Nueva Cancion & canto neuvo - folk songs in Spanish that became popular during the 1960s associated with socialism and the struggle against the rise of dictators such as Pinochet.

Nina Persson (born Nina Elisabet Persson September 6, 1974 in Örebro, Sweden) is the lead singer and lyricist for the Swedish pop group The Cardigans. Originally, she was going to art school until she started with the The Cardigans. She has also worked as a solo artist, releasing two albums as A Camp and appearing on the tribute album to Serge Gainsbourg entitled Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited. She performs under the name Jaymay. She was raised on Long Island and in 2003, unable to find a job in book publishing, Jaymay began playing open mics. Her major musical influence is Bob Dylan.
