Arran Arctic

Visit www.arranarctic.com Arran Arctic (a.k.a. Arran Southall) is a D.I.Y. musician and artist who has been independently producing and releasing music for almost two decades. When he’s not recording in his home studio, he’s doodling, knitting and generally being creative in any way possible! Arctic’s musical canon weaves elements together from the folk, pop and electronica genres, featuring a variety of individually layered instruments. Drawing inspiration from artists such as PJ Harvey, Patrick Wolf and Iain Archer, every Arran Arctic release endeavours to offer something fresh.

Spider

There are at least seven artists which have used the name Spider: an indie folk singer from New York, United States, a metal band from England, a punk band from Hungary, a lo-fi band from Washington, United States, a ska/rock band from Malaysia, a power pop band from Wallasey, England, a rapper from Mexico. 1. Spider is an alias for Brooklyn musician Jane Herships. Most of the songs on her release The Way to Bitter Lake are hushed, personal songs with elements of shoegazing reminescent of musicians such as Nick Drake and M. Ward.

Olivia Anna Livki was born in 1984 in Poland - behind the Iron Curtain, where the streets, buildings and birds were grey and brown and the coloured stuff had be bought with dollars in shops called “Pewex. Her Polish mum and German dad had met in Jordan (where their jobs had brought them) so English became her second mother tongue and the Arab Emirates soon her second home and happiest childhood memories.

Esther O'Connor

Young Scottish singer/songwriter Esther O’Connor, who signed her first record contract with music colossus EMI aged 17, is now writing and releasing music under her own steam. She runs her own record label, the aptly-named Redhead Records, with husband Tim O’Connor, who also accompanies her on stage with his guitar. Esther’s new album Right Here, despite not having the backing of a major label, has been causing a stir the length and breadth of the country.
