Indian Summer DJs
Timmy Regisford
Timmy Regisford is simply put, one of the great legends of dance music. The inception of his internationally acclaimed Club Shelter parties in NYC fifteen years ago helped pioneer the soulful house music sound that has shaped the face of house music all around the world. So where did it all begin? Introduced to the dance scene at an early age and a regular at the Paradise Garage from Regisford was already fast honing his skills as a DJ and soon gained notoriety within the New York underground club scene of the late seventies.
Axel
There are most certainly many Axels. 1.) Latin Pop singer. From all music guide:
"Born in Rafael Calzada, a small town in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Axel Fernando began playing the piano at an early age, even gaining acceptance into the national conservatory, though he initially ended up deciding he would rather concentrate on more classic scholastic training. This didn't last too long, however; at 17 he realized it was music he truly wanted to pursue, and began practicing and looking for work.
DJs From Mars
DJs From Mars are two deejays (Aqualuce and Ventafunk) landed for random causes, in the same time, in the same place, in BlissCo. Studios, on planet Earth. Their first sonic experiment is generated in 2004, and goes by the name of “Non dormo più” (Movimental), Earth reaction is nice (the single appears in 5 compilations and goes straight to the highest charts positions). Right after, “Open Sesame” and “Kipo Mambo” (Movimental, 2005) are released, and the alien DJs are playlisted outside of Italy too.
Stza Crack
Stza Crack, also known as Scott Sturgeon, (Born March 4th 1976) has fronted several punk-ska bands in the New York area, the best known bands being Choking Victim and Leftöver Crack. In 1990 Sturgeon and a friend of his Alec Baillie formed No Commercial Value, which later evolved into Choking Victim and then again into Leftöver Crack. Although many members of these bands have come and gone, Sturgeon remained a constant figure, writing the vast majority of the lyrics and music and becoming the bands' self-appointed spokesperson.
Smash
1) Band was formed by the sitar/guitar player Gualberto in 1967. At the beginning of the seventies Smash recorded two albums for Philips label "Glorieta de los Lotos" in 1970 and "We Come To Smash This Time" in 1971. Unfortunately early death of the vocalist Julio Matito bring band to the end. Music which Smash create is compare to Moody Blues and Vanilla Fudge psychodelic mood. Through guitar style of Manuel Molina we hear evident flamenco touch, applying on traditional "palos" (tarantos).
dj BC
djBC is a DJ from Boston who's had some recent success in creating mash-ups. His best known works involve mixing the Beatles with the Beastie Boys into what he calls "The Beastles". His work, which was once available as free downloads off his website, www.djbc.net , was removed after a threatening letter from some legal-types. Also notable was his Glassbreaks album (Philip Glass vs. a variety of hip-hop artists), with an even shorter lifetime before the lawyers called (though dj BC mentioned at the time that they were "nice" about it).
