Ruts DC

FOLLOWING ON FROM THE RUTS
Ruts DC was the follow up name used by the surviving three members of The Ruts following the death of singer Malcolm Owen in 1980. They released two albums: Animal Now (a rock record on Virgin in 1981), and Rhythm Collision (a dub reggae record on their own imprint, Bohemian, in 1982, engineered by Mad Professor).
The band came to a halt in 1984 only once reforming to perform one now legendary gig at The Academy Islington on July 16th 2007.

The Distractions

The band was originally formed in 1975 by college friends Mike Finney (vocals) and Steve Perrin (guitar),[1] alongside Lawrence Tickle (bass) and Tony Trap (drums).[2] The band changed tack with the advent of punk in 1977 and Finney and Perrin recruited a new line-up of Pip Nicholls (bass), Adrian Wright (guitar), and Alec Sidebottom (drums, formerly of The Purple Gang), now mixing punk rock with sixties influences.

Sad Panda is an electronica dance project out of Salem, Oregon put together by Jason Stringer. The group activley tours the greater part of the west - coast. Taylor

There are currently five artists going by the name Taylor. 1.) 'taylor' are a folk collective of some of the tastiest grapes from Australia's Gold Coast. Acoustic rock tales with folk edges on a bed of guitars and mandolin. Formed in 2008 by songwriter David Taylor and guitarist Nick Stewart (George, Pinky Beecroft and The White Russians), taylor has a unique sound that is influenced by such artists as Nick Drake, Angus and Julia Stone, and Neil Young. 2009 finds the band as a six piece with an original sound that is sophisticated in its harmony and theatrical in performance.

Kid Creole & the Coconuts

Kid Creole and the Coconuts are an American band created and led by August Darnell. Their music incorporates styles like big band jazz, disco, and in particular Caribbean/Latin American salsa. The Coconuts are a glamorous trio of female backing vocalists whose lineup changes throughout the years. Thomas August Darnell Browder (aka August Darnell, aka Kid Creole) was born in Montreal, Canada, on 12 August 1950, the son of a French Canadian mother and a father from the Caribbean island of Dominica, but was raised in the New York City borough of the Bronx.
