Dawn Kinnard

Dawn Kinnard doesn’t need a biography. She needs professional help. Or that’s at least what you or I might prescribe. But that’s because we subscribe to the traditional approach to self perception and method of understanding our own place in the universe. In reality, there’s nothing wrong with her, she does things a little differently. She drinks Guinness for a start; which isn’t that strange I suppose but is maybe a little odd for a woman who was born and raised by a loving mother and Preacher father in the US state of Pennsylvania; a long way away from The Emerald Isle.

The Hounds Below

The Hounds Below, a new band formed by Jason Stollsteimer formerly the front man of the von bondies, shine new light on a classic sound. Focusing on the beauty rather than the volume of the song, the band creates a melodic landscape that layers a lush, early rock-and-roll vibe over spacey guitars and an atmospheric-sounding organ. Bonding over a mutual appreciation of old and new music alike--everything from Phoenix to Buddy Holly--the Hounds Below have a sound that spans decades, yet is distinctively their own.

Following on from their successful debut EP ‘In The Nude For Love’, ‘Privileged Woes’ was recorded in the spare room, the size of a single bed, by Myles Wootton (The Panics) - the band literally had to put the mattress against the wall to record.
