Hackensaw Boys
The Hackensaw Boys first began playing their joyful blend of old-time and bluegrass-tinged string-band music on the streets of Charlottesville in the autumn of 1999. Far from limiting themselves to the old-time canon, however, the Hackensaws have been first and foremost a band of songwriters. Alison Krauss (born July 23, 1971) is an American bluegrass-country singer, songwriter and fiddler. Signed to Rounder Records as a 14-year-old fiddler from Champaign, Illinois, she has become the most recognized face in contemporary bluegrass, a critically acclaimed artist who has brought modern sophistication to the genre while respecting its traditions. Songfacts reports that in 2011 Krauss recorded her first ever number one country album in her home country with paper airplane.

Jedd Hughes grew up in the small south Australian town of Quorn. His father loved the sounds of Australian traditional country singer Slim Dusty and American icons such as Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins. When he wasn't listening to music at home,
much of his childhood was spent onstage. At age 8, he won first place at the Port Pirie Country Music Festival. One year later, his dad gave him a few guitar lessons, and by age 10, he was playing a custom-made acoustic guitar.

The Artist name Beck can refer to two artists; 1) Beck Hansen (born Bek David Campbell, July 8, 1970) is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Beck's music is known for its pop-junk culture collage of musical styles, ironic lyrics, samples, drum machines, live instrumentation and heady sound effects. Beck was born in Los Angeles, California, to David Campbell (a musician and son of a Presbyterian minister) and Bibbe Hansen (a former dancer for The Velvet Underground, founding member of the satirical band Black Fag, and visual artist).

Carl Mann
Carl Mann was born in rural Tennessee. He was a multi-talented musician who sang, played guitar and piano. He was signed to Jaxon Records in 1957 where he released a few singles. His one hit "Pretend" however, was released on Sun Records and reached #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1959.

The Dream Syndicate
There are two groups known as The Dream Syndicate: 1. The Dream Syndicate was a guitar-driven band from L.A. from 1981 to 1989, originally associated with the paisley underground music movement. While attending the University of California, Davis, Wynn and Smith played together (with future True West members Russ Tolman and Gavin Blair) in The Suspects. Moving back home to Los Angeles, Wynn recorded a single under the name 15 Minutes (as in “of fame”) as his intended farewell to music. He did not follow that course.

Mavericks
Mavericks (important: Not THE Mavericks!) are a country-band from Leverkusen, Germany. Their mainly populatrity they recieved by writing fan-songs for the local football club Bayer Leverkusen. I.o. they wrote the hymn, "Leverkusen", and several songs for certain players.
Actually they were just the Band of the County-Vocalist "Marverick" but since several Years the play as "Maverick's band" or just "Mavericks". Their real focus is lying on entretaining-shows.
