Sparrow & The Workshop

Sparrow and the Workshop are a threepiece alt folk/country/indie outfit based in Glasgow, formed in the dew of January 2008 under the heavy fog of yeast from the Tennents Factory. The American/Scottish/Welsh trio play a stripped-down drumkit, a crashbox, a very white bass, a smallish acoustic guitar, a mellow yellow electric slide guitar and occasionally an old french violin. Tinged with elements of country and folk but incorporating a huge range of references from motor city to Seattle, their sound ranges from punky and harsh to sparse and sensitive...

The Mortal

The Mortal were born on February 2006 in East Kilbride consisting of Fin Black,Charlie McInnes and Ali Robertson. Born out of frustration of playing 'covers' they decided to lock themselves in the studio and make some original music. The Mortal list their influences as; Muse, Primal Scream, The Cult, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, The Clash, Kasabian, Bauhaus, Killing Joke, Foo Fighters, Greenday, Jesus and Mary Chain, Stone Roses, Inspiral Carpets, Queens of the Stone Age, and many many more.

Filthy Little Secret are a 4 piece Shabaret band from Glasgow Scotland. Shab-a-ret [shab-a-ray]
noun 1. A unique celebration of good old, comic style sleaze.
2. Wonderfully ugly and rhythmic; “like a bicycle wheel made of shoes on sticks” Formed in 2005, members are Alastair Haggart (Haj) - Lead Vox/Guitar, Derek McElhinney (Del) - Lead Guitar/Vox, Colin Syme (Symey) - Bass, and Kyle Thunder - Drums/Vox.

Foxface

Foxface, from Glasgow, Scotland, were concieved by Michael Angus. Initially he played alone, though was joined by friends along the way. The release of the handmade 'Foxface EP' (featuring Andrew Smith of Laeto) in 2003 was the last release without a permanent line-up; by early 2004 Foxface was a three-piece made-up of Micheal, John (Who played with Michael Angus in Peeps Into Fairyland), and new addition Jenny. They have played with Sons & Daughters, King Creosote, Electric Magnolia Company, My Latest Novel and Idlewild, with whom they share a friendship both personal and professional.
