There are at least two artists known as Rock. 1) A post-hardcore band from Moscow, Russia. 2) Jamal Bush, better known by his stage name Tha Rockness Monstah, or in short Rock, is an American rapper, famous as a member of hip hop collective Boot Camp Clik and the duo Heltah Skeltah along with Ruck. After releasing two albums with Heltah Skeltah, Nocturnal and Magnum Force, Rock left Duck Down Records and pursued a solo career.
Born in 1988 in Fresno, California, Fashawn grew up in a virtually parentless home. His father was incarcerated, while his mom was focused on feeding her drug addiction - a combination that caused a boy to become a man quicker than most. Placed in a group home by child services at the age of 12, Fashawn found solace in music, and began writing rhymes to escape the less than desirable hand he had been dealt so early in life.

He came to fame as a member of the duo Heltah Skeltah, performing under the name Ruck, with partner Rock. He has released two albums with Heltah Skeltah, 1996's acclaimed Nocturnal and 1998's Magnum Force. He released his solo debut in 2005, titled Monkey Barz.

He didn't make an appearance on the Clik's 2002 group album The Chosen Few, being the only member of the "Great 8" not to appear.
