October aka Julian Smith, is a Bristol based techno/dubstep producer and DJ. Head of Caravan Records, October's productions can be described as organic analog dub techno excursions.

Stormfield
Combat’s main subverter Stormfield was sonically trained via the early strains of LFO, Aphex Twin, Black Dog, Autechre and the first wave of dark, techy atmospheric drum and bass masters Photek and Source Direct, later carrying these influences proudly through other forms of music like electro, dubstep and hard breakage. Later exposure to the works of Scorn and a 4-year stint living near Brixton’s colossal dub soundsystems left him with a pathological need for chest-rushing basslines.

Threnody
There are at least three artists named Threnody. 1. A glitch and dubstep artist from Stafford. Stafford-based producer Threnody is one of the handful of new-breed dubstep producers exploring the dark hinterlands beyond beyond the genre’s margins, with a characteristic sound that’s deep, techy and brooding, supported by clued-up DJs across the board from Radio 1 (Mary Anne Hobbs), Reload FM, Sub FM and React FM.

Geeneus
Geeneus is the brains behind pirate/internet radio station that broadcasts Dubstep, Grime and Funky from somewhere in the heart of London RINSE 100.3 (www.rinse.fm) his latest work is Funky but with a grime tinge, but he started out with the infamous grime/garage crew Pay As U Go, which had Wiley and Gods Gift as members.
Not to forget the legendary DJ Slimzee who back in 1999 was at the fore front behind the sound now known today as Grime. As back then this sound was un-established the underground mainstream was strictly UK Garage.
