Atmosphere

There are at least four known artists with the name Atmosphere. 1) Atmosphere, a Minnesota alternative rap group, formed around 1994. At its creation, the group was called "Urban Atmosphere". Unlike many hip hop groups, Atmosphere provide their own live instrumentation, usually consisting of bass guitar and drums. Atmosphere originally consisted of Spawn (MC), ANT (producer) and Slug (DJ at the time).

N.E.R.D

N.E.R.D (No One Ever Really Dies) is a funk rock, alternative rock and alternative hip hop band formed in 2001. Their music is best described as funk rock, with various other influences, including hip hop, R&B, soul, alternative rock, and blues. Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo met in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the ages of 12 at a summer camp for musicians, which they both disliked. They spent their free time making beats and performing in groups with fellow childhood friend Timbaland. Shay Haley began performing with Williams and Hugo in high school.

Mayer Hawthorne

Mayer Hawthorne grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, just outside of Detroit, and vividly remembers, as a child, driving with his father and tuning the car radio in to the rich soul and jazz history the region provided. “Most of the best music ever made came out of Detroit,” claims the singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, who counts Isaac Hayes, Leroy Hutson, Mike Terry, and Barry White among his influences, but draws the most inspiration from the music of Smokey Robinson, Curtis Mayfield and the legendary songwriting and production trio of Lamont Dozier, Brian Holland and Eddie Holland Jr.

Freshly Squeezed

Freshly Squeezed are a seven piece Funk and Soul band playing a wide variety of venues in the South West with special guests ranging from keys players to their resident MC. They perform originals plus popular covers that you may recognise and include some less well known ones too. All of course with their 'fresh' individual added flavour. The group is made up of some of the best talent in the area with teachers, designers and musicians from other outfits all jumping ship and embracing the growing phenomenon that is Freshly Squeezed.

MC Sniper

Recording artist and founder of underground hip-hop crew Buddha Baby, MC Sniper is considered a controversial and influential musician in South Korea. He Debuted in 2002 with the album "So Sniper..." and immediately became recognized for acrid lyrics that challenged economic, governmental, and societal conditions. His backdrop: a powerful mixture of hip-hop and traditional Korean music. He is credited with discovering and producing 배치기 (Baechigi), a hip-hop group whose popularity is now exponentially increasing.

Boy Wonder

1.)Operating from Amsterdam South East, The Netherlands, Boy Wonder (1986) is fighting against lame useless Hip Hop. Started rapping and writing at the early age age of 14. When he got inspired by 'At the Speed Of Life' by Xzibit and 'Train Of Thought' by Hi-Tek and Talib Kweli. He hooked up with his partner in crimefighting 2ShArp. Boy Wonder (then known as Tha DraX) and 2ShArp recorded many tracks in Boy Wonders homestudio and performed their way through their teenage years in small local clubs.

DJ Target

Target (real name Darren Joseph) is a grime producer from East London. He was a former member of Pay As You Go, but after the crew disintegrated he went on to form Roll Deep with Wiley, Breeze and Flow dan. He is recognised as one of the figureheads of Roll Deep, especially since that Wiley has been focussing on solo projects. Target hosts his own radio show on the BBC station 1xtra, playing hip hop and other urban music as well as grime. The show currently on Sunday evenings from 7-9. He is also responsible for the Aim Higher series of grime DVDs.

Jehst

William G. Shields, better known as Jehst or a slew of aliases including The High Plains Drifter and Jay Star, is an English rapper and co-founder of hip hop label YNR. Jehst is the best kept secret in British rap and one of the most consistent artists to break out of the UK over the last five years. This man has built a following and spawned a thousand soundalikes right across the country. Top-notch flows, unconventional subject matter and tight beats mean that the product is always at the top of tree, while his stage show is without doubt the best of any UK hip-hop artist.
