Artist Type:

Jon Langford

Originally the drummer for the punk band The Mekons, formed at Leeds University in 1977, Langford later took up the guitar as other band members left. Over the years, he has released a number of solo recordings as well as recordings with other bands outside of The Mekons, most notably the Waco Brothers, which he co-founded after moving to Chicago in the early '90s. He is strongly involved with the Chicago-based independent record label Bloodshot.

Peter Bruntnell

U.K. country singer/songwriter Peter Bruntnell is a charismatic performer known for saying very little, but one with a strong presence. Rollicking alongside the trio combination of Crazy Horse, Bruntnell's country-rock is much heavier than one would anticipate. He has a bizarre musical taste in his native southwest England, for country music isn't necessarily favored, but Bruntnell does his own thing and has been since the early '90s when his recording career began to take shape.

Singer of Halo Fauna’s solo acoustic thing, which seems to be the rage these days. If you’ve ever seen Eric you know how heartfelt his songs are. He’s been playing shows recently with his traveling film festival, combining it into a 1:2 punch of music and movies. Recently he put out an album of songs he wrote to his grandfather’s poetry. It’s some pretty amazing stuff. He is also known for having a sweet beard.

Artist Type:

Grant Langston

One of LA's brightest Americana lights, Alabama born and raised Langston uses a witty mix of danceable old-school honky tonk and mournful traditional ballads. While the focus of the new record is squarely on country staples like drinking and lost love...what makes Koreatown unique is Langston's songwriting voice - cynical, sad, self-deprecating and often very funny. Langston grew up two hours south of Nashville in tiny Hartselle, Alabama.
