Born Gold
Born Gold is the high-energy, beat-driven songwriting project of Canadian pop experimentalist Cecil Frena. Caught in an unusual dialogue between future-leaning electronic music, harsh noise and mainstream pop, Born Gold conjures stuttering, blown-out and chopped guitar peals, erratic, bubbling synth arpeggios, sparkling drum machine peals and bursts of meticulously processed digital noise. Oh, and hooks, hooks, hooks.
Marc Romboy
Out of the dungeons of Moenchengladbach, Germany the thirty-something pulls the strings and makes things happen. His recent and most successful move definitely was to give birth to the already well established electro/house imprint Systematic in 2004 in Berlin which is a platform for his own productions as well as for hot and upcoming talents. Electronic house music with a certain breakdance appeal, reminiscent of old school Chicago dance floor insanity is Romboy's true passion, when it comes to deejaying, producing and making decisions as the Systematic commander!
BoBmo
Very Institubes sound
Very from the 90's
Imagine that Surkin had a brother who used to steal all his brothers machines when he wasn't at home...that little guy is Bobmo! BOBMO is a young producer hailing from the hyperactive city of Paris via the even more hyper city of Bordeaux. While in high school, with no musical training, he launched a short-lived rap career, making beats on his Playstation (no, really!), spitting awkward tales of murder and woe.
Vector Lovers
Vector Lovers is the moniker used by electronic music producer Martin Wheeler of the United Kingdom. Wheeler is described by the soma label as a "computer nerd" and "80s-obsessed knob-twiddler" and creates music which falls into the intelligent dance music (IDM) and electro genres. His music has been compared to and is influenced by such acts as Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. “Vector Lovers has hit on a sound that’s more relevant than 99% of modern electronic music…inspirational, essential and as much a landmark release as Hacker & Kittens ‘Frank Sinatra’" Richard Brophy (DJ magazine).
Dave Lee
Dave Lee is a British virtuoso on the orchestral French Horn. However he has taken the instrument in new directions with recorded versions of rock and other non-classical numbers. Dave came to wider attention with the publication of Jasper Rees' book "I Found my Horn". Dave tutored Jasper in his attempts to relearn the horn to concert standard in just one year.
O.V.N.I.
In 2000 O.V.N.I was formed when the members of the Alfa-Matrix break beat band, Seize, decided to swap roles and do something a little darker, this time with Steven taking the lead vocals and Sandrine and Rosie on bass and keyboards respectively. O.V.N.I started out with the name Spermwhale, but decided to change it when hunting for a label.
