Alberto Veto is a gritty energetic three piece based in Nottingham who write and perform from the gut and the heart. Whilst their true heart lies in their live performance, the band also self release as much material as they can afford. With two EPs under their belt they are now working hard on their first full album.

Golden Animals

Golden Animals are a desert rock band influenced primarily by Depression-Era blues, psychedelic 60’s rock and the mystical music of desert-lands from afar. Golden Animals seek to find and explore new territories within the American, two-piece compendium and see freedom as the objective of their life and music. First coming together in Brooklyn in ’06, the duo found themselves increasingly dissatisfied with high-rent and urban distractions present in modern-day New York and found themselves longing for a drastically different reality.

The Slow Show

The Slow Show are a recently formed Manchester based band with a dynamic, warm, beautiful organic sound that has many references to American alt folk rock but with a distinctive Northern English touch. Their critically acclaimed debut EP Midnight Waltz displays their carefully crafted musicianship and lush melodic songwriting. The diverse instrumentation, in particular the use of a colliery type brass band sound, adds an extra dimension to their music.

Melissa McClelland

Melissa McClelland (born c. 1979) is an American-born Canadian singer-songwriter who lived in Burlington, Ontario, in her youth and now bases her career from Toronto. McClelland's music is influenced by blues and americana. A writer on CMJ's staff blog wrote that McClelland has "a persona reminiscent of a female Tom Waits." Biography Melissa McClelland was born in Chicago, Illinois. She spent her youth in Burlington, Ontario before developing her career in Toronto.

Patrick Duff

Patrick Duff, once lead singer with the cult rock band Strangelove, is now an artist/songwriter in his own right, living and working in the United Kingdom and Ireland. His first solo album "Luxury Problems" was released on EMI's legendary Harvest Records label in June 2005. His second album "The Mad Straight Road" is now complete and due to be released in 2009 being his greatest achievement to date.

In honour of their sorrowful namesake, they play impassioned drifts of folk pop with heavy-hearted lyrics; beautiful in an aching sort of way. Delicate rivers of finger-picked guitar flow through the record, while Mick sings in gorgeous poetic shivers about epic love and distant shores.

Deer Tick

Deer Tick is a self described rock n' roll band originally from Providence, Rhode Island, United States. The band is John Joseph McCauley III, Andrew Grant Tobiassen, Christopher Dale Ryan, and Dennis Michael Ryan. The band began in December of 2004 as a drums and guitar duo. Within a few years the band developed into a quartet featuring two guitars, bass and drums, with three members singing and writing, and one writing string arrangements. They have released countless CD-Rs and two official releases, 2007's War Elephant (re-released in 2008) and 2009's Born on Flag Day.
