Netherlands was formed by Jacob Scott in 2011 and has since gathered four more members, Graham Poole (Guitar), Zealah Anstey (Vocals/ Percussion), Matthew Bishop (Bass) and Garret Ney (Guitar). Despite recording for many years, Jacob Scott has rarely played live but has nevertheless gained a loyal following, relying on Myspace & Soundcloud, word of mouth and radio play. His music is dark, stirring and dreamy, with layered vocals that show hints of the anti folk movement. The songs themselves are strongly based around the acoustic guitar and dance delicately with dream pop.
