Rocking and Rolling...

Right... today I am full of cold so have resigned myself to not do much today... HOWEVER things apart from my fluy-ness are amazing, everything seems to be picking up some speed, the tracks that I have spent the last few months writing, recording and finally producing are now finished!

The 2 artists who are putting together the artwork for the single release have been brilliant, we have done photoshoots and all sorts, making sure they have enough material to work some magic!

So.. we have the single release coming up, and fingers cross as launch night, I'm hoping to get some radio plays in between now and then and all the while, gigging like mad as often as I can.

Things have been busy and hectic for the last few months now, but I am hoping it is only going to get worse! This is a great way of making a living, long may it continue!

Take it easy,

L.

Tunefire - Digital Music Distribution

Digital Music Distribution can be a tricky and confusing experience. Who do you go with? Which company offers the best deal?

Tunefire has been designed to make the unknown world of music distribution simple and available to all musicians.
In setting up Tunefire we looked at the big and the small digital distributors and found that many of them share some common aspects. Other distributors like to charge monthly or yearly subscriptions fees hoping that you’ll forget you that you signed up for the service in the first place (Tunefire does not charge monthly or yearly fees).

Tunefire takes a different approach to the others. We understand the challenges that independent musicians face in selling their music. Therefore we have set up clear and simple pricing.

Our pricing structure is:
Single (1 Track) £9.95
Double (2 Tracks) £14.95
E.P (3-6 Tracks) £24.95
Album (7-14 Tracks) £49.95

The net revenues from sales of your music gets passed to you.

Other resources we provide for Free:
No charge for an ISRC code or a Bar code.

We are here to help you make you and your music successful. Try Tunefire for your next release.

V, DMF & other musical acronyms

It's been a busy few days, from the fields of Hylands Park to the main stage at Dorset Music Forum.

Thanks to all the artists, managers and promoters who came along to DMF HQ tonight to find out more about the Musicosity project. Your questions and feedback has been great, thank you very much. I'll blog about some of the contributions, including "Musicosity is like a band's CV", something future employers can trust and get references.

Thanks for the emails and well done for those who have already signed up! You can email me on Chris@musicosity.org with any questions or ideas.

Thank you Bournemouth, and good night.

John Mayer Concerts

The rocking pop star John Mayer has announced online events; the announcement is John Mayer hosts an exclusive live webcast from his Battle Studies Summer Tour stop at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY on July 21st begins at 4:00pm EDT. The behind-the-scenes view gives fans internationally the chance to get a glimpse backstage at one of this summer's hottest tours, hosted by the artist himself. The glimpses backstage will be followed by a LIVE performance from Mayer's soundcheck. The GRAMMY Award winner and outstanding artist John Mayer has been forced to scrap a planned performance at T in the Park this weekend. The rocking star Mayer offered fans a live video stream of the first song from his Raleigh, NC show on July 17 with just an hour's notice, 67,000 fans were tuned in. The following night in Virginia Beach, VA, Mayer's management sent out a Tweet about filming part of that night's show for fans to enjoy, within just 10 minutes, 9,000 spectators were watching live.

The best US rocker was set to perform at the Scots music festival, but has been now shelved his trip to Perthshire. "Due to unexpected situation, the rocking star John Mayer has been forced to cancel his appearance at this years T in the Park. John Mayer returns to stand-up comedy. His first try at stand-up comedy was panned by audiences and critics alike, but singer John Mayer has returned to the genre once again. The Heartbreak Warfare hitmaker returned to a comedy club in New York, after four years his first outing as a funnyman there fell flat .The great rocker, who has long entertained the idea of a stand-up sideline, appeared at Manhattan's Comedy Cellar in 2006 but his set wasn't famous with the viewers and critics accused him of racial slurs and sexism. The Grammy winning singer has since tried out his act on various events and he returned to the venue last week to put right his previous flop.

The rocker John Mayer is set to open up what promises to be a long, hot summer on the North American amphitheater circuit. The good news for the fans of great singer/songwriter/guitarist is that he launches the 40-city outing tonight in Charlotte, NC, and he will be on the road through Sept. 11. Support acts include Train, Guster, The Avett Brothers and Owl City. Mayer is backing his fifth album, "Battle Studies," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in November 2009. The US rocker Mayer's Aug. 28 show at Washington State’s Gorge amphitheater will be an extraordinary performance with Keith Urban. The pair first appeared together on a "CMT Crossroads" episode that debuted last month. "CMT Crossroads was the first time I performed with Keith but the creative rapport was there right away," Mayer said in a statement. "I hope it's one of many opportunities to work together in the future." Cheap John Mayer tickets are available online so the fans should not miss the chance to hold his performances live.

I love where I live

Thank god, finally a music website that has it all!

I have been living in Lambeth for 3 years and as a music lover, I have not been able to go to one site or find a 'single source of truth' which lists all the venues and artists in the area, so I can make an informed decision about what I will be doing on my precious Friday/Saturday nights or any other night of the week. After 10 minutes on the site, I found a whole load of cool venues right on my doorstep.

I love where I live and Lambeth Live makes me proud.

Thank you Lambeth Live!

Bring it on.....
