One lived many years near the White River, the other one near the Black Sea – that is the main factor why their project was named River'n'Sea. Sasha Khizhnyakov and Dima Yakovlev met each other on one of the hottest parties «Freak Me» in 2008, in Irkutsk city. Sasha led one radio-show on the local station at that time and produced network releases of his own label Electronica. Dima, on the other side, performed a lot in the clubs with his dj sets .
