(http://www.arturdyjecinski.com & www.myspace.com/arturdyjecinski) Remember as a kid traveling through leafy Birchwood forests in the mountains of British Columbia. Remember sitting in the back of your parents faded mustard Ford Pinto, your ears filling with the sweet sounds of early Neil Young. Remember driving with the windows down, the play of cool mountain air against your face and the pleasant smell of foliage coming alive in the Spring.
Mackley Drive are a five piece band from Essex. Their sound comes from a fusion of their influences. It's a sound that is both eclectic, and accessible. Known also to experiment with odd time signatures and complex chord structures, and with songs stuffed to the brim with pop hooks and melodies. Their lyrics deal with subjects such as isolation, religion, love, loss etc. These attributes combined helps to form a sound that is distinctly unique to them.
Daniel Vagant is a german singer-songwriter, born and raised in the late 1970s near Gießen, Germany.
Genre-wise he plays catch-me-if-you-can with you. While some songs are pure rock, the next song may be filled with funky jazz or groovy reggae beats. Although he has had to fight many a downside in life, he states Peter Pan as his idol and still carries the amazing and sometimes naive curiosity and excitement of a child. This is beautifully reflected in his music, which is filled with love and joy, but never lacks profundity.
