Alice Gun records in her drinks cabinet and down a Lakeland mineshaft, distilling macabre anti-folk from guitars, glockenspiel, double bass, cello, flugel horn and a lopsided upright.

She also plays cello for blues man Mr David Viner in a long-running collaboration which saw her spend last year recording with Ed Harcourt and supporting the White Stripes. An Alice Gun EP will be released on Ambiguous Records later this year.
