ASTPAI

blasting out of a dirty basement's rehearsal room there comes the straight forward punkrock sound of austria's very own ASTPAI. think of paint it black meets some kid called dynamite and tries to kiss none more black's nose at the same time. they are even drawing some influences from bands such as from ashes rise, aus-rotten and a little choking victim/leftovercrack, just without the odd ska. even though they never lack a sense in melody and sing-a-longs.

Boo!

Boo! entered the South African music scene in October 1997, with their mind-bendingly weird, though deliciously consumable sound. The band describes their music as "Monki Punk", because it breaks away from the usual combination of bass, drums and guitar, and substitutes the guitar with brass and keyboard sounds. Discography:
-Banana Flava (live) (cassette) 1998
-Pineapple Flava (aka Monki Punk or Pynaple) February 1999
-The 3 Boo!dists December 1999

King Prawn

King Prawn were a prominent band of the UK ska punk scene during the 90's and early 2000's, their name is derived from the 'porn industry term given for the action of spitting on your partner's arsehole for lubrication before anal sex'. King Prawn were viewed as one of the most innovative bands of this period, blending elements of punk, hardcore, metal, ska, dub, reggae, and hip hop into their music, which they dubbed wildstyle.

Arts

There are at least two bands with the name Arts: 1] Arts is an American Raw Black Metal band featuring Mark McCoy of Haxan, Ancestors & Hallow amongst others. Shrouded in ethereal night exists a fire abounding in phantasms. This is a flame that speaks of Initiation and Consecration as a veritable heritage of destiny. Herein, reflecting back into itself, this luminescence serves as the lone sanctuary of divine thought on the part of the profane where it cannot be seized by non-believers.

Sonic Boom Six

Formed in Manchester, England in 2002, Sonic Boom Six represent the most compelling soundclash to rise from the underground in years. Few bands can so smoothly mix dancefloor-savvy elements of reggae, jungle and ska with the rigorous commentary of hip-hop whilst retaining enough grit and aggression to be an active fixture of the UK’s punk scene. Only Sonic Boom Six are propelled by the melodious rapping of Laila K who is one of the most incendiary vocalists to ever bounce around a moshpit of Mohawks.

Artist Type:

Vespa

VESPA is one of the first Polish bands playing ska music. Created in Szczecin in 1995 by secondary school students Radar (vocal), Krzaq (bass), Pasterz (drums) and Kantor (guitar). The band was soon joined by Maciek (guitar) and they called themselves VESPA and began to conquer the world. At this time the band members were fascinated by so called third wave of ska but due to poor music skills at that time, they sounded more like poor ska-punk.

Bugsy Malone

Bugsy Malone is a 1976 musical film, very loosely based on events in Chicago, Illinois in the Prohibition era, specifically, the exploits of gangsters like Al Capone as dramatized in cinema. The tongue-in-cheek movie stars children as the gangsters and their molls, toning down the subject matter sufficiently to receive a "G" rating. The plot concerns the manufacture of a brand of custard, which is used first in cream-topped pies (being hit with one "kills" the character) then later in "splurge guns" that enable the dessert to be deployed on unprecedented level.
