Blue Ducks

Blue Ducks make hip-hop in the proud post-Dilla tradition: swaggering, off-kilter, brimming with ideas and destined to the direction of knowing head nods globally. Effortlessly flowing from the MPC, micro-glitches meld with deliciously placed spoken-word samples, expansive organs to flickers of late wonky electronica and aqua-crunk, classic boom-bap drums to deep ambience and swelling strings. Music for those too cool to dance (as well as those who love to dance).

Scarlet Soho

In October 2002 Scarlet Soho released their low-key debut single Disconnected through Vivid Records and toured the UK extensively, including support slots with The Faint, Lolita Storm and Delays. In 2004 the band signed to Human Recordings, releasing their debut EP for the label, Isolation and beginning work with Delays producer Justin Callaway in Southampton. The outcome, Divisions Of Decency, was released in November 2004. The album sways between the up beat, theatrical, electro rock of Magazine and the starker pop sensibilities of their contemporaries Interpol and The Sneaker Pimps.

Media Circus

MEDIA CIRCUS are the result of failed past musical ventures, free time and the joys of learning. Media Circus are: Sam Lowen, Dale Jones, Luke Sandoe and Tom Reade.
After tom and sam's previous band ended they continued writing and playing together with the absence of a full line up. Dale took the role of bassist having had no previous experience with the instrument and took upon himself to learn as he was close friends with them and a fan of their writing.

Threepenny Bit

A young and vibrant addition to the folk scene, Threepenny Bit folk and ceilidh band was formed from an unlikely combination of student-types in Southampton in 2010. Consisting of suitcase percussion, fiddle, flute, guitar and clarinet, they play a wide range of Irish, English, Cornish, Breton and Scottish diddly-dee music with a hint of klezmer! Threepenny Bit set the trend for “Half Price Busking” in the Summer of 2010, when they embarked upon a busking campaign to spread folk music to the four corners of Southern England.
