1) Bear is an alternative rock group from Sheffield, formed in the mid 1990s by Chris Trout, formerly of various British alternative groups, including A.C. Temple, Kilgore Trout, and Spoonfed Hybrid. Little Glitches hail from Sheffield, UK. Tangled up in hazy electronica and folk roots, this four piece's sound is built from intricate layers of guitar and Rhodes piano, over a constantly traveling rhythm section, with four soulful voices raising the call to arms.

Navvy

Navvy are a 4 piece group from Sheffield. Keith plays bass and sings; Claire sings and plays percussion and keyboards; Marie plays the drums and Daf plays the guitar. The band formed in 2006 from the ashes of several underground Sheffield bands, and their first session with Pulp's erstwhile producer Alan Smyth resulted their debut E.P. called "4 Songs By Navvy". Navvy's sound is sometimes angular and ferocious and sometimes poppy. Their songs are usually concerned with longevity and dysfunction.

Reverend and The Makers

Reverend (aka Jon McClure) hails from the musically-renowned land of Sheffield, UK. Before this project he sang for Judan Suki and 1984 finding underground local fame and getting a name for himself. He has already collaborated with Arthur Brown, John Cooper Clarke, Tim Hampton (Bromheads Jacket), Mike Hughes (Trap2), Chris McClure, Laura Manuel (ex Judan Suki), Andy Nicholson (ex Arctic Monkeys), Tom Rowley (Milburn), and Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) as well as working with producer Alan Smythe. For live gigs Reverend has assembled 'The Makers', a superband of relatively unknown musicians.

Little Man Tate

Little Man Tate were a four-piece indie band from Sheffield, England who formed in 2005 and split in 2009. Like many other up and coming bands such as The Law, The View and The Lions, they made extensive use of MySpace as well as their own forum to communicate with and co-ordinate fans. The band quickly began attracting interest from several record labels and in March 2006 signed to V2 Records, later parting ways in November 2007.
