The Migrant

The Migrant is Denmark musician Bjarke Bendtsen's experimental, folk-inspired pop songs on guitar, ukulele, kick drum and other instruments. In Bendtsen's words, 'This project is my excuse for packing the suitcase, selling all furniture and leaving for parts of the world I haven't seen before. Hopefully the songs and a guitar will make it less expensive. Definitely more fun!' Bendtsen gave up his residence in Copenhagen in the end of 2008 and went on the road, playing with different people he met on his way.

The Alfonz

It’s 1998. Swindon is enjoying a rare moment of success with Billie Piper’s ‘Girlfriend’ at Number One in the charts. Oblivious to this, Charlie nervously makes his way into the unfamiliar Year 2 classroom at his new primary school. Sam is sitting on the carpet, eagerly awaiting the start of lessons. Adam is busy eating crayons in the corner...again. Charlie tentatively sits down near Sam. Sam looks up from his new big boy’s shoes (with real laces) to see a face he doesn’t recognise looking lost and a little upset.
