Sylvain Sylvain

Sylvain Sylvain (born Sylvain Mizrahi, February 14, 1951 ) is a rock guitarist, most notable for being a member of the New York Dolls. He was born in, Cairo, Egypt to a Jewish family with one brother and one sister, Leon and Brigitte, but raised in New York City, where his family had moved after living on Lafayette Avenue in Buffalo, New York while he was still a child. When asked if he was related to American fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi (born October 14, 1961) he responded, "No.

Lordi

Lordi is a hard rock / heavy metal band from Finland, formed in 1996 by 'Mr. Lordi' of Rovaniemi, Finland. They're known for their monster costumes and lyrical themes. In the beginning of the 1990s, Mr. Lordi played in a small band from Rovaniemi. He left the band when the other members didn't agree with the introduction of theatrical elements and KISS-style rock. Mr. Lordi started producing demos under the name Lordi in 1991 and continued to do so for a few years. The rest of the band members met each other for first time in 1996 in Stockholm, where they had gone to see KISS perform.

Ducks Deluxe

If the old scientific adage is true -- that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction -- then British pub rockers Ducks Deluxe were purely and simply a reaction. With the mid-'70s English pop scene dominated by glitter/glam rockers like Gary Glitter and Sweet or blustery, chops-heavy art rockers like Yes, Jethro Tull, and Genesis, then Ducks Deluxe represented none of the above. One of the first pub rock bands, the Ducks played basic American-style blues and boogie with remarkable panache and thorough disregard for the whims of the zeitgeist.

Baby Bitch were the finest rock 'n' roll band to ever disgrace a stage. Combining infectious pop melodies with punk energy and a metallic stomp, accompanied with a twisted sense of humour and an unhealthy fixation with Crispin Glover, their unforgettable tunes and charismatic presence were utterly irresistable. Cryer

Cryer - A 1980's rock band (as opposed to Metal) from Birmingham, heavily influenced by Deep Purple. Released a self financed single, titled "The Visionary" by the winner of a local radio contest. Broke up, then had an album released under the name "Force" so reformed. Then broke up again. Guitarist Stu now plays in comedy tribute band "Ian The Goat Sings Black sabbath". They are better than the name would suggest. Graham careless now sings in the band bat hat harry www.myspace.

There are at least 4 bands with the name Boulevard. One from Germany/Canada, one from New Zealand, one from Finland and one from Denmark. 1) Randy Burgess (bass) Mark Holden (saxophone, vocals) David Forbes (lead vocals) Andrew Johns (keyboards) Randy Gould (guitar) Randall Stoll (drums) Tom Christianson (bass; replaced Burgess) Holden had been working in a recording studio in Frankfurt, Germany and an offer to open a new, multi-million dollar recording studio in Calgary gave him reason to return to Canada.
