Lina

Lina is a neo-soul recording artist who was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in the Dallas area. Lina can sing in seven different languages. Lina released her debut album Stranger On Earth in 2001 on Atlantic Records. It received a strong critical response for its blend of R&B with swing and vocal jazz. The title track was a cover version of a Dinah Washington track. The track Playa No More became a minor hit while the album reached #89 on the Billboard R&B and hip-hop album chart. Nevertheless, she was dropped from Atlantic.

John Legend

John Stephens (born December 28, 1978 in Springfield, Ohio), better known as John Legend, is a Grammy award winning R&B singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, poet and actor signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label. Prior to the release of his debut album Get Lifted in 2004, Legend's career gained momentum through a series of successful collaborations with multiple established artists such as Jay-Z, Alicia Keys and Lauryn Hill. He released his second album, Once Again in 2006, and his latest release, 2008's Evolver showcased a more experimental and upbeat side of Legend.

Conya Doss

Born in the underrated Soul Music town of Cleveland, Ohio, Conya Doss was admittedly "raised on Stevie Wonder, Angela Winbush, Donny Hathaway and Minnie Ripperton." She attended the prestigious Cleveland School of the Performing Arts and sang with childhood friend Stacy Richardson (now a backup singer for Anthony Hamilton) in the duo Lyrik. As an adult she wrote for 3LW and worked with Gerald Levert and PAJAM before venturing into a career as a solo singer.

Anthony Hamilton

Anthony Hamilton (born January 28, 1971, in Charlotte, North Carolina) is an R&B/soul/"neo-soul" singer and songwriter who rose to fame with his 2003 second album Comin' From Where I'm From, which featured the singles "Comin' from Where I'm From," "Charlene," and "I'm a Mess." Hamilton first discovered his talent while singing in his church choir at age 10. In 1993 he left Charlotte for New York City, where he signed with Andre Harrell's Uptown Records.

Jarle Bernhoft

Formerly lead vocalist with excellent Norwegian rockers SPAN, Jarle is now a solo artist with Universal Records. His debut album 'Ceramik City Chronicles' was released 1 September 2008. Whilst SPAN would count Aerosmith and Soundgarden amongst their influences, Jarle prefers to namecheck The Meters and Sly & The Family Stone, pursuing a funk/soul direction since the band split in 2005.
