Combining medieval and naturalistic melodies and rhythms with thrashy, black metal-inspired riffs, Northern Oak set out to create a uniquely and quintessentially English angle on the idea of ‘mature folk metal’ with a focus on the power of nature and spirituality, mirroring many traditional Pagan rituals.
