Ian De Sylva is a singer/songwriter by trade but a rock ‘n’ roller at heart. He started his professional career as the main songwriter, guitarist and singer in 1990s Britpop act Silver who signed to Rough Trade when he was 18 years old. They released their track ‘Ten Seconds’ through Rough Trade’s famous ‘Singles Club’ and then went on to reach number 16 in the UK Independent Chart with both of their singles ‘Silver Saturday’ and ‘Diamond’ which led to Ian being dubbed as ‘the next Ray Davies’.
