Bucking the current trend of always playing as fast as possible, Shards reach back to punk's pre-hardcore days, recalling straightforward yet evocative records like the Misfits' Static Age and TSOL's early EPs, but with a snarling vocalist that brings to mind Darby Crash at his nastiest.
