The City of London Sinfonia is a chamber orchestra which was founded in 1971 by Richard Hickox, who is still its music director. It has a little over forty members, which is roughly half the size of a full symphony orchestra. Since its inception, CLS has established a reputation at the forefront of British orchestras.
