There are several bands using this name: 1) Talons are a band from Hereford, UK.
They are 2 guitars, 2 violins, bass and drums - no vocals. They have supported iForward Russia!, Rolo Tomassi, Grammatics, Johnny Foreigner, Data.Select.Party and Vessels amognst others. They will release their debut single in April 2009. He has self-released several CDs since 2005 and 1 full-length LP on the Bark & Hiss label.
