Pachango

'Pachango' is a british-colombian-afro-beat-reggae-fusion 9 piece band based in Bournemouth. Founded by passionate drummer Julian Leon, the name 'Pachango' comes from the spanish word 'Pa' meaning 'for or 'dedicated to' and `Chango' the african God of thunder, drums and dance. 'Chango' is known as a 'being of passion and power' and we believe everyone has a lot of 'chango' within themselves.

Our members have played with many different bands, and bring their own unique music styles to what has become PACHANGO, the blending of a multi-rhythmic fusion family. The dynamic energy of our songs will make you dance, clap, move your feet or..... finally just your bum. We believe our music is uplifting with it's exciting melodic fusion of exotic gipsy-latin soulful rhythms, and strong powerful brass section that complements the sizzling flow of lyrics in spanish and english. We dedicate our music to 'Chango' and for the people who believe in us and support us.

Monkey Puzzle

Monkey Puzzle are made out of seven good friends who are musicians and songwriters, all with masses of performing and recording experience all around the UK. Along with life's rollercoaster in general, Monkey Puzzle are inspired by a diverse musical bunch including artists like Maceo Parker, Herbie Hancock, Frank Zappa, Cinematic Orchestra, Fela Kuti, Nu Yorican Soul and Quantic Soul Orchestra.

Formed in January over a winter pint earlier this year, they now have a great following of young Monkeys in the making.. They started off playing free gigs in local bars, but soon progressed to regular shows and events at venues all around the South of the UK, including headlining at the nationally acclaimed
(and somewhat wet) Bournemouth Air Festival!

Alice in Grooveland

Intrepid quartet of jazz funksters with an impressively varied repertoire. Expect anything from the classic 50s Blue Note sound to 70s space funk - spiced up with a dash of 90s acid jazz and Brazilian disco! AIG have the chameleon-like ability to tailor their sound to very different venues and audiences - they are equally at home in a classy restaurant, busy pub or crowded nightclub. How did it all start? In mid 2009, four busy, experienced musicians joined forces to form a project that is creative and entertaining in equal measure. After experimenting with various line ups, they settled on the present lean, stripped-down quartet format in November 2009. 'The uncluttered line up gives us the space to try anything,' explains keyboardist Andrew. With the introduction of more and more original material, impromptu jams with vocalists and the increasing use of synths and electronics, 2010 looks promising indeed for Alice in Grooveland. Catch them live around central and South East London - not to be missed!
