Dumber Than The Average Bear are a four piece band based in Exeter, the band are: Carl Eaton - vocals and acoustic guitar; Tom Ashby - lead Guitar; Fraser Willis - drums and Barry Muir - double bass. Together they blend several styles of music, from blues and folk roots to rock and pop influences, resulting in a unique, exciting and accessible sound.
Dumber Than The Average Bear play all original material written by the band and have recently released their debut album to encouraging reviews and an enthusiastic fan base. Regular appearances at the Fat Pig and the Old Firehouse in Exeter have only enhanced their reputation as one of Exeter's premier live bands.
The band draw influence from many bands including Led Zeppelin, John Butler Trio, Clutch, Red Snapper, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Black Mountain, Wolfmother, Them Crooked Vultures.
