Sons of Otis

Sons Of Otis are a Stoner Doom Metal band, hailing from Toronto, Canada. They formed in 1992 as Otis, which they took from a character in the movie Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer. After their debut EP called Paid To Suffer in 1994, they changed their name to Sons Of Otis. They were signed to The Music Cartel, which ceased its activities in 2005. They are known for their trance-like neuron-firing live performances which included spinning lights and smoke machines. After a lengthy hiatus in April 2007, Sons of Otis released a split with Queen Elephantine on Concrete Lo-Fi Records.

Viking Skull

Get in, Get Fucked and get out, these are the 7 words that prompted the existence of Viking Skull. Realising that the 4 years on the road with Raging Speedhorn had temporarily stopped for a well earned break, assorted members of RSH band and Crew faced the very real prospect of the booze drying up for a few months. Roddy Stone, RSHs long time guitar tech reasoned with the rest of Speedhorn, still left in Corby, that all they had to do for the free beer to continue was form a local band and play local clubs. Its gonna be easy he said, All we gotta do is, get in, get fucked and get out.

Church of Misery

Church Of Misery (チャーチ・オブ・ミザリ) is a japanese doom metal band with a specific extra-groovy sound that is often described as "stoner doom" but the band tends to snub this term saying "We hate trend. We hate corporate attitude. We hate the word 'stoner'. Death to false stoners!! Let there be DOOM!!" (citation from the Master of Brutality album cover artwork notes).
Band was formed in 1996 in Tokyo by bassist Tatsu Mikami (ex-Salem) and guitarist Tomohiro Nishimura, line-up was completed with singer Nobukazu Chow and drummer Hideki Shimizu.

Ramesses

Bristling with malevolence, Ramesses’ crushing grooves induce a hypnotick lethargy: weighed down, beleaguered and enveloped by doom. While the percussion/guitar/bass/vokills set to work on your viscera, your head is forcibly plunged down the rabbit hole and drenched in heavy psychedelia.

Spawned in the bleak woodland of Dorset, England, this three-piece has been disfiguring the innards of its army of devoted listeners since 2003 when original Electric Wizard drummer Mark Greening and guitarist Tim Bagshaw hooked up with Adam Richardson (bass + vox)...

Kyuss

For 2011 touring line-up, see Kyuss Lives!. Kyuss (pronounced /ˈkaɪ.əs/ KYE-əs) is the corner stone of what is known as stoner rock or desert rock. Although deriving influence from 70s hard rock, Kyuss churned out a unique sound. This was primarily because guitarist Josh Homme often tuned to a low C, a major third below standard pitch, but also singer John Garcia's paint stripping vocals. The band was originally formed in 1989 in Palm Desert, California under the name "Sons of Kyuss". They took the name from a monster in Dungeons and Dragons.

Bison B.C.

When Bison took its first step, amps were scorched and drums were smashed. Born of the ashes of seminal Vancouver skate-thrash band S.T.R.E.E.T.S., Bison are every head banger's dream. Their riffs are colossal and flow like a mighty river into a sea of fuzzed out shredding. Their message is punk rock angst and revolution, with the occasional nod to white wizards, the king of swine and a mythical beast called the "Stokasaurus".
