The Ruby Suns

New Zealand’s The Ruby Suns formed in Auckland in 2004, under the somewhat longer and inarguably more rhyming name Ryan McPhun and The Ruby Suns. The band is now shortly, sweetly and simply called The Ruby Suns, and principal Ruby Sun Ryan McPhun is currently and ably abetted by Amee Robinson. Craig Elliott

Craig "Mad-Dog" Elliott was born in the small town of Tokoroa where he spent most of his days flying kites. Tokoroa isn't known for it's fantastic weather, but that never stopped Craig. One day, he was flying his kite and his mother told him to come inside for dinner (mince on toast) Craig told her to hold on and kept flying his kite. The kite was struck by lightning and so was Craig. His face is now permanently in a 'smiling' position and he lost alot of his vision, sadly. He still makes some good music though, and he's as honest as a buffalo; even with these debilitating disabilities.
