The Cave Singers

The Cave Singers are Seattle folk trio Pete Quirk (vocals, guitar, melodica, harmonia), Derek Fudesco (guitar, bass pedals), and Marty Lund (drums, guitar). Reminiscent of a more earnest Will Oldham, a tempered Animal Collective, or a whimsical Mountain Goats, their music is surprising yet cozy, sparse yet harmonious, pleasing yet torturous. Invitation Songs, the first full length album is to be released on September 26th 2007, on Matador Records.

Palace

1. Palace is one of the many names used at one point or another by Will Oldham. Palace came after he named himself Palace Brothers for the first LP, before Palace Music, and a few years before the world knew him as Bonnie 'Prince' Billy. According to Oldham, records released under the "Palace" moniker were usually recorded in the winter time, and feature some of his darkest, most challenging songs. "Ethereal, quirky and original in equal measures" (Rachael Magowan)
anna lena arriving in Liverpool at 19 years old, leaving her hometown of Drøbak in Norway, Anna Lena has spent the last few years building her reputation as one of the most interesting singer-songwriters on the scene, with her own brand of alternative, electronic-inspired folk with a quirky Scandinavian twist. She met the orchids in september 2009 and they started to combine both parts; the ambience/experimentral sound of the orchids and the melancholy of anna lena.
