Tempting rosie

'And Tempting Rosie did come down from the heavens and said "let there be ska!" and the sound of trumpets echoed through the valley'. Tempting Rosie are a sextet of young men of whom five decided one day during a music lesson, to form a band combining different sounds that arn't what you would exactly expect from 'ska'. With two not so recent additions, this currently energetic 7-piece is now complete and at its best!

Glen Matlock & the Philistines

Glen Matlock is one of the most respected, if underrated British musicians. In a career that has spanned over thirty years, Glen has made indelible contributions to music as the original bass player with The Sex Pistols, formed the infamous Rich Kids, worked with a variety of artists ranging from Iggy Pop, fellow original School of '76 Brit Punk Rockers The Damned, through to neo-rockabilly singer Robert Gordon, whilst pursuing his own musically distinctive direction where melodic and inventive rock music thrives.

Fables Last Stand

Newcastle has a history for hard rock talent. From The Animals to The Tygers Of Pan Tang, AC/DC's Brian Johnson to Dire Straits' Mark Knopfler, the city famous for football and Brown Ale has always boasted a heaving underbelly of guitar-based grit. Now you can add Fables Last Stand to that heady mix of ear blasting brilliance. Born out of a love for GN'R, Led Zep and the Crue, these Geordie kings of bar room sleaze bring back classic rock with a menacingly modern twist.

RUX

Due to Won Jonghee's Skunk Label (www.skunklabel.com), Rux are one of the most important punk bands in Korea in the mid-90s. As one of the forerunners of the scene, Rux set up a label that allowed many other punk bands in Korea to emerge from a music scene that concentrates mainly on pop and urban. Punk spawned in Korea around 1994 when Drug Records opened a punk club around Hongik University. Many youths took to this genre very easily and were soon forming bands of their own but there was a lack of record labels prepared to take on these bands.
