Beatnik Filmstars

Bristol, England's Beatnik Filmstars debuted on the indie rock landscape with the Maharishi album on Big Sky Records in 1991. Led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Andrew Jarrett, the band was instantly compared to some of the United States' brightest indie rockers. After releasing a series of EPs, they returned to full-length form with 1993's Laid Back & English CD on Land Speed Records. 1994 saw the release of Astronaut House on La Di Da Records, and in 1995, California's Slumberland Records joined with Mobstar Records to produce the Beezer album.

The Twilight Singers

The Twilight Singers is an alternative American band. The group was initially formed as a side project by The Afghan Whigs leader Greg Dulli in 1997. After the Whigs disbanded The Twilight Singers became an artistic vehicle, and has released four albums backed by international tours. While in-between Afghan Whigs albums and amidst a dispute with their record label, Elektra, Dulli recorded demos for the act with friends and collaborators Shawn Smith (Brad, Satchel, Pigeonhed) and Harold "Happy" Chichester (Royal Crescent Mob, Howlin' Maggie) in New Orleans.

Once upon a time in the West Midlands, four lads who liked to play a bit of music decided to play a bit together. At first things went well and all four were happy. After playing together again and again, things improved. Shared feelings of contentment shifted up a gear to excitement, and this encouraged them to want to play more music together. This led, in no time at all or so it seemed, to still further improvement.

Titus Andronicus

Titus Andronicus is an indie rock band which formed in Glen Rock, New Jersey, United States in 2005. They consist of Patrick Stickles (vocals, guitar), Ian O'Neil (guitar), Ian Graetzer (bass), Andrew Cedermark (keyboards, vocals) and Eric Harm (drums). The band takes its name from the Shakespeare play Titus Andronicus. Their debut album, The Airing of Grievances, received an 8.5 rating from Pitchfork Media and has received positive reviews elsewhere.
