Wille and the Bandits

Wille and the Bandits, the internationally acclaimed artists have been receiving praise across the globe for their fresh approach to roots music. Their ability to effortlessly mix an eclectic range of styles, providing each song with its own unique personality is a key attribute to their music.

“Wille and the Bandits are taking roots music to a ‘new level’” (Roots time magazine)

The band continues to push the boundaries of their music, embracing every artistic opportunity. Living for the music, they are constantly exploring new sounds from different cultures around the world. From the versatility of Wille’s lap slide and guitar playing to the rhythmic diversity of percussionist Andrew Naumann, the band can always keep any audience guessing. Often likened to the greats of the 70’s such as Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, this comparison, although brave, only scrapes the surface of the Bandit’s influences.

"Front man Will Edwards whiskey soaked drawl and inspired slide guitar licks hark back to the 1930's Mississippi, while drummer Andrew Naumann and bassist Kieran Doherty drag the Bandits brilliantly unique sound into the 21st century" (GO2 Magazine)

The archetypal festival band, this year alone they have played many of Europe’s major Festivals including Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Eden festival (Scotland), Rock En Stock (France) and The Jersey Longboard Festival (Channel Islands) and opened the biggest surfing event in Europe the Quiksilver Pro in France this summer.

Wille and the Bandits are on a musical journey that will in no doubt continue, for a long time to come. New instruments and ideas frequently pop up at their live shows and with an internationally acclaimed debut Album ‘New Breed’ receiving the title album of the month in 4 different countries and the band playing over 200 shows a year their is no one working harder or more dedicated to making quality music than Wille and the Bandits.
