Rock @ The Racecourse band line up:-

FRIGHTENED RABBIT...........

Though the past year has seen Frightened Rabbit finally step into public view, with more extensive touring and some recordings now publicly available, the past few years have largely been about the band quietly, commitedly honing their sound, and cultivating their art. Now a four-piece comprising Scott, Billy, Grant, and Andy , the origins of the band are rooted in 2003, when Scott began playing solo shows under the name Frightened Rabbit, mostly in support of fellow art-schoolers Shitdisco. Recordings were made on a tascam 4-track recorder, with Scott playing all the instruments (some more proficiently than others). Though looser, sparser, and certainly more lo-fi in terms of production values, their early demo’s still attest to a burgeoning talent with a defined personality, and a now familiar penchant for being able to nail a near perfect pop song. Find out more at Rock at the Racecourse.

LOST IN AUDIO..........

Alt rockers Lost In Audio have lit-up the music scene with their epic rock anthems, described by Jim Gellatly as one of the most exciting new bands in Scotland. As well as regular radio play from such top stations BBC Radio 1 and XFM, Lost In Audio have received acclaim from many of the industry's top performers, ranging from The Subways naming them their pick of the year, to Fall Out Boy hailing the trio as their favourite band in the country. They've sold out hometown venue Cabaret Voltaire, headlined the legendary King Tuts, and when they're not selling out their own shows, they can be found touring with the top bands in the country, including support slots with The Fratellis, The Subways, The Futureheads, The View and many more. As well as achieving local success, the trio have become a favorite across Europe, with mainstage bookings in Sweden, Scotland, Iceland and beyond. If you want to see the next big thing before it happens, make sure you see Lost In Audio at Rock @ The Racecourse.

SCOCHA........

A five piece rock 'n' roll band comprising Iain Scott, David Chapman, Alan Brydon, Phil Clayton and Dougie Anderson. They perform haunting ballads to roof raising refrains and sing along anthems. A Scocha gig is crammed full of the 'feel good factor', peppered with humour and Borders banter...ideal for Rock @ The Racecourse. With wide ranging appeal, Scocha’s music crosses all borders with tight vocal harmonies, Guitars, Bass, Bagpipes, Whistles, Bodhrans, Bouzoukis, and much more.

SHTUMM.......
Formed in 1998, Shtumm have been rocking the South east of Scotland and North east of England for 11 years solid, building up a steady following due to fantastic musicianship and top notch covers of a wide variety of classic/ progressive/ melodic/ hard rock. The band cover classics like Kansas 'Carry on wayward son', Metallica 'Enter Sandman', Rush 'Tom Sawyer', Boston 'More than a feeling', Iron Maiden - Hallowed be thy name', Thin Lizzy 'Chinatown', Blue Oyster Cult 'Don't fear the reaper', Eagles 'Hotel California', Judas Priest 'Electric Eye', Led Zeppelin 'Kasmir', Pink Floyd 'Comfortably numb' and many more. Also newer rock trends covers with the likes of Foo Fighters, The Cult, U2, Kings X, Stereophonics, Also you'll hear classic rock/ pop classics by the likes of Yes, Genesis, Madness, Andrew Gold, Don Henley, Abba, Status Quo. Watch out for the band's awesome medley's inc. their cult 'Disco medley' - 15 minutes of 70's disco nostalgia with a hint of Motorhead, and The Knack mixed in with it. Once seen... never forgotten! New covers appear at almost every gig, so you'll never see the same set twice! Classic Rock at The Racecourse.

THE DANGLEBERRIES.........

The Dangleberries play traditional bagpipe music but with a unique brand of drums and guitar accompaniment. They have enjoyed playing at festivals such as the Wickerman and the Tartan Heart Festival over the years. They are a group of friends who llike to have a good time at festivals including the 2009 Keswick Beer Festival, village hoolies and any other shenanigans...including Rock at The Racecourse. They play a range of traditional Scottish music, some of their own stuff and some covers, such as Scissor Sisters - Take Your Mama Out, Paolo Nutini - New Shoes.
