Hey Everyone!

Welcome to Pamplemousse!!!

We are a couple of live music fans from Bournemouth looking to promote smaller touring bands in our town. We not trying to step on anyone's toes but we think there is a gap that needs to be filled here. We want to get Bournemouth on the regular touring circuit for ALL bands. The BIC and the O2 have the larger acts covered but we know there are like minded people out there who also want to say...

"oh yeah I saw [insert up and coming band name] at [insert smaller venue name] before they were famous!"

We're not just doing this for bragging rights (obviously) but from a genuine love of live, and new, music.

In addition to putting on acts we think deserve to be seen we also want to discover new acts reccomended by you.

Help us get the live music scene this town deserves!

Junip Show Cancelled

The Junip show at the Old Firestation in Bournemouth 7th Feb has been cancelled due to the ill health of Jose Gonzalez. Unfortunately Junip have had to cancel the remaining UK tour dates to allow Jose to return to Sweden to visit his doctor. The shows couldn't be rescheduled as the band is committed to US tour dates in the coming months, so we're unlikely to see him in the UK until later this year, possibly around September time. We'll be sure to let you know if Junip are back on the gig calendar.

Hey everyone, as well as being the first Pamplemousse show, Junip is also eligible for Musicosity Reward Points. These are accumulated by purchasing tickets for eligible gigs as detailed on the Musicosity site. We have more shows booked for later this year and by collecting these points you will be able to get free tickets to shows> get in on the ground floor and you will be reaping the benfits in no time at all!

Following the release of their album ‘The Peacock’ in January, Streebeck support The Rifles on tour

South coast favourites Streebeck have been confirmed to support The Rifles and will play live in Bournemouth on Sunday 25th March at The Old Firestation.

Streebeck released their third album, The Peacock in January and were asked to support The Rifles having recently shared the stage with other acclaimed artists including Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Xavier Rudd, Acoustic Ladyland and Carus Thompson.

Cult comedy show 'The Inbetweeners' gave a very humorous, yet magnified sense of what life is currently like when you're young and have undirected energy to burn on new experiences.

If the four lead characters had some mates in a band, it would have to be Southampton's 'SomaHigh'. Like that very successful programme they are 'of the now'.

SomaHigh weave great riffs around lyrics that pick the meat from people's lives.

For example in 'Flashback Tuesday' you'll hear: “Screaming after your ex while he's having a fight with the wall.”
